Building a Mosque | A Good for Generations

For a town with no Friday mosque, praying cramped in a small room, we lay a full mosque's foundation, raise its bearing walls, its dome and minaret, connect its mihrab and pulpit. We bring each stage from foundation to dome to your panel with date and location. We do not spend the gift at random. We mark the town, draw a plan sized for a wide congregation, meet the materials and labour locally, and stay with it until the building is complete. If you wish, your name stands on the entrance plaque as a remembrance, not for show but for supplication. We write this good to your book as a lasting charity for generations. A small intention becomes a town's first Friday prayer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about this donation

1What does Building a Mosque cover?

In a town with no Friday mosque it covers laying a foundation, raising a dome and minaret, working a mihrab and pulpit, and staying with it until complete.

2How does stage-by-stage tracking work?

The dated, located photo of every stage from foundation to dome is uploaded to your panel separately, so you see the building rise step by step.

3How does my name go on the plaque?

If you wish, your name is inscribed on the entrance plaque as a remembrance, not for show but for supplication. You may also have it written in the name of a departed loved one.

4What does support until complete mean?

The building is not left half-done. Each missing stage from foundation to opening is set in order, and support continues until the mosque is finished.

5Where is the mosque built?

It is built in the towns of greatest need, with no Friday mosque at all or going hours away for Friday.

6Where are materials and labour met from?

As far as possible they are met locally, so the town's economy is supported too and the building is taken up as its own.

7Does my gift go to a single mosque?

The plan extends to the other mosque-less towns of that region too, but each record is logged to a set building and followed.

8Is there a place for children in the mosque?

Yes. A Quran corner for the children is made beside the mosque, with reading-desks and books set in place.

9Are half-built mosques completed?

Yes. Mosques stalled for a spent budget are taken over too, the wall completed, the roof closed, the inside fitted out.

10What does a good for generations mean?

It is a lasting good whose reward continues as the mosque stands and the congregation gathers each Friday, written to your book as a lasting charity.

11Is the first Friday shared?

Yes. The footage of the first Friday prayer prayed and the first sermon given in the completed mosque is sent to your panel.

12Can I get a tax-deduction receipt?

Yes. Quenara is a Delaware-based 501(c)(3) organization, and your receipt is sent through your panel.

13Is a record kept after building?

Yes. The foundation, the wall, the dome, the minaret, the plaque and the first Friday are kept on file, the good is recorded as a lasting charity, and the process is clear.
