School Reborn: 5 Classrooms, 500 Students
When the bell rings again a child can say "I have homework." We seal the roof and set the desks; opening day a GPS stamped photo lands in your account.
Under the repaired roof children sit without fear of rain soaking their books; for the first time a pupil smiles and says, "I have homework today."

School Reborn: 5 Classrooms, 500 Students
A single piece of chalk becomes the first sound that tells a child the lesson has begun again. In Yemen and Gaza you rebuild the roof, the broken windows and the wiring of a school that fell silent in the rain; our team carries in the desks, mounts the board, fits the lighting and the handwashing station, furnishes the staff room and packs stationery and a cleaning kit into every child's bag. When five classrooms are ready, five hundred children walk back through the door; a plan tracks absences and a mentor is assigned to every child at risk. On opening day, when the bell for the first lesson rings, a GPS stamped photo of the school, a signed enrolment list and a short clip land in your account.
When the polished old bell rang, the children lined their shoes up by the door. As the tears in the wall map were taped over, teacher Samir said, "We do not throw away hope just because the world has grown old." The first girl through the door wiped her place, opened her notebook and wrote a single line: "Today we began." When the classroom door opened, it was not only the children who walked in, but the future.
