Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about this donation
Quenara Foundation funds underwater nurseries where permitted divers grow coral fragments on frames for reefs hit by bleaching. Our own team runs boats and shore support in Florida and Hawaii.
Thank you for asking. Your gift buys frames and line for underwater coral nurseries. It also covers tank fills and boat fuel for the permitted dive team and the monitoring dives that follow.
Under heat stress coral expels the algae in its tissue and turns white. Bleached coral can survive but deaths climb as the heat drags on.
Only permitted restoration divers and marine biologists touch it. Our team runs the boat and shore logistics and covers the cost of materials.
Small fragments from healthy colonies hang on frames under water. Divers clean them through the season. Once they have grown they are fixed onto damaged reef.
Restoration takes years. A single gift funds one stage such as a nursery dive or a monitoring dive. It cannot stop ocean warming but it helps put living coral back.
Your receipt reaches your email the moment you give. Within 72 hours your account shows the town or district and the work your gift covered.
This listing has no adoption or naming. Your gift goes to one stage of the restoration work.

Our team stays on the boat and on the shore. Everything under the water is done by permitted divers and marine biologists.
We stay out of zones closed for protection and out of water made unsafe by a storm. Marine park rangers manage access and permits.
Yes for the shore beside a restoration site. Our team cleans it with local volunteers and this gift covers the equipment.
