A woman sits at a sewing machine for the first time and goes home that evening with money she earned herself; her "What can I do?" gives way to a quiet "There is a great deal I can do."

Workshop for Women: Skilled Hands
The hum of a sewing machine becomes the first place a woman signs her own name again. In Gaza, one corner of the workshop we rented is still unpainted; yet the machines are in and the first bolts of cloth sit on the shelf. Our trainers buy the machine in your name, prepare the thread and the fabric, and sit beside her for weeks teaching the cut, the stitch and the online sale; every piece she makes is sold under her own name, at her own price. Sixty women sign a fair wage agreement, and childcare hours with safe transport keep their attendance steady. When the first order ships, a GPS stamped photo of the workshop and a short clip land in your account.
