On the day the tanker arrives, jerrycans fill in the courtyard and a scorching noon turns into a bearable hour; a feverish child's brow cools, and a voice at the door says, "you came again."

Water Tanker: 90 Days of Lifeline Water
The first drop from the tap draws a small shadow on cracked ground. Each morning our tanker sets out on fixed routes across Somalia and Ethiopia; the driver pulls in at a GPS verified stop, our team raises a shade canopy in the punishing heat and keeps the line orderly, hands every household a jerrycan and tap set, and teaches safe water storage right there at the kerb. Across 40 to 60 stops a day, 20 to 40 litres of clean water reaches each home through your hand. A signature is taken at every point, and a GPS stamped photo with a short clip is filed to the Quenara Ledger, so you can trace every drop from your own account.
