The young mother breathes out as the needle on the scale finally climbs; the formula and nappies that come with the care kit also lift some of the loneliness off her shoulders.

Mother and Baby Care Points
A nurse smiles when a baby cries from growing, not from hunger. At the care points we run in Yemen and Gaza we light heaters and lamps, place formula and nappies in a mother's hands, weigh and measure every week, sit a lactation counsellor beside her, screen each newborn and bring any at risk infant to the field team the same day; support circles quiet the loneliness while feeding and infection classes keep running. Every baby's growth is charted one by one and each item we deliver is logged in the Quenara Ledger; the first weigh in photo, GPS stamped, lands in your account with a signed monitoring sheet.
