With You in the First Hour

When a crisis alert lands, the heaviest strain begins in the first hours. With open field lines across 48 countries and ready teams, Quenara reaches families like Amina and eight year old Ibrahim in a tent settlement, Selin in Hatay after the earthquake, Farida and Nour after displacement, and others within 72 hours with hot meals, clean water, blankets, medicine, and temporary shelter support. After you give, the process does not stay as a receipt. A family file opens, the route is set, and a visual record from the door reaches your phone soon after. You see that early help truly arrived.

Saw the storm on the news and sent a bit on my break. Not much with things this tight, but enough for a hot meal for one family I hope.

First time giving here. What sold me was reading that every parcel is logged with a photo. Hope it reaches a family soon.

Gave in memory of my dad, who never turned a neighbour away. A family in Mogadishu had medicine within the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about this donation

1How quickly does aid reach a family?

Where our local teams already work, the full relief package reaches a family within 72 hours. Blocked roads or rough weather can slow things down, but the first essentials are on their way as soon as a crisis is confirmed.

2Why do the first hours count for so much?

In the opening hours of a disaster a family has nothing left to fall back on. A warm meal, dry blankets and clean water in that narrow window keep people safe through the first night and ease the hard days that follow.

3Where exactly does my donation go?

It pays for what a family needs straight away: hot food, clean water, blankets, baby and hygiene items, basic medicine and a temporary shelter. Every pound goes towards the parcel itself.

4Which disasters and places do you cover?

Earthquakes, floods, storms and the fallout of conflict, anywhere our teams can safely reach. Turkey's earthquake-hit south is firmly included, alongside crisis zones across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. A handful of sanctioned countries sit outside that, where we cannot lawfully work.

5How do I know it actually reached the family?

At each handover the field team takes a photo and logs the GPS location, then files both in one delivery record. You can see exactly where and when the parcel changed hands.

6Who hands out the aid on the ground?

Local teams who already live and work in the area. They know the streets, speak the language and run the local distribution points, so the family opens the door to a familiar face.

7Does a small gift really make a difference?

It does. A few pounds can mean a dry place to sleep for a child tonight, or a fever brought down before morning. No amount is too small to matter when a family is starting again from nothing.

8Does my money go into a pool or straight to a family?

No gift is tied to one named person. It joins a shared rapid-response fund, and the field teams decide who receives a parcel by working out which households are in the gravest need at that moment.

9Can I give once, or set up a monthly gift?

Either works. A one-off gift answers a crisis happening right now. A monthly gift means a team is already funded and ready when the next emergency hits, rather than pausing to wait for donations to arrive first.

10Can I give in someone else's name?

Of course. You can give in honour of a friend, or in memory of someone you have lost. Add the name at checkout and we will note it on your receipt and confirmation email.

11Can I follow where my donation ends up?

Yes. Every delivery is written into the Quenara Ledger, a public record anyone can audit. It traces the path from the gift you made through to the relief it paid for, with nothing tucked away out of sight.

12Are my payment and personal details safe?

Payments run through Stripe, the same processor trusted by major companies worldwide. Your card details never touch Quenara's own servers, and your personal information is never sold or passed to anyone else.

13Can I get a receipt for tax purposes?

You can. Quenara is a registered 501(c)(3) foundation in Delaware, so gifts are tax-deductible in the United States. We email a receipt showing our EIN that you can file with your return.
